Dear Members,
Well we are already into the second half of the Senior season and the club is tracking well across Men's & Women's football and Netball with all senior teams in finals contention moving into the last 9 games of the season.
It's is great to see both old and many new faces at our games supporting Chelsea across all areas of the club, I would just like to remind everyone of their responsibilities as both members & representatives of the club. As members we all participate within the code of conduct of both the Chelsea FNC and the MPFNL both at home and away games. Great news is we have not had any incidences requiring our board to look into unlike other clubs that have been drawn into unwanted public attention through the behaviours of members / club spectators/ On field game incidents, it would be great from my perspective if we could continue to show support with passion but also maintain respect for all players, volunteers and officials on game day and when at the club.
Just an update, some of you may have noticed some process changes in the upstairs bar with security cameras being installed last week and shifts in how we operate the bar. The reason for this is two fold, we have had a number of incidences where the club has been broken into and items stolen recently and concerns with monies being short in the upstairs bar with a number of areas being identified for the shortfall. Good news is through an increased awareness of issues over the past couple of weeks things have improved and now with the cameras installed hopefully problem solved, we are a community club run by volunteers and to maintain an environment where we can trade 7 days a week we need to respect the club and eliminate risks that put everyone under the microscope unnecessarily. We work too hard for free to have things go missing and then the need to raise additional funds to replace items or off set shortages, thanks to the sports club for investing in the new security system.
As we work through the back end of the season we have a number of key events and activities being planned that you will start to see advertised on our socials and around the club.

See you Saturday at Rye.
Thanks
Michael
